German Max Christian Friedrich Bruch (1838-1920) was solidly among the Romantic composers. While his Violin Concerto in G Minor and Kol Nidre Variations for cello and orchestra are most remembered, he was most acclaimed in his own life for his choral works. NB: He is sometimes listed as Max Karl August Bruch.
