- Blandford Forum is the largest town in the former district of North Dorset
- located to the north of River Stour.
- Blandford St Mary is a village on the south bank, and Blandford St Mary is a separate parish than
- Blandford Forum, stretching south east to Charlton Marshall, Winterborne Clenstone to
- the south west and Winterborne Stickland to the west.
- The small parish of Bryanston, west of the River Stour, is represented by the Durweston category.
- East of the town, on the north bank of the Stour is Langton Long Blandford, after which is named
- the parish stretching north to include Blandford Camp, before Tarrant Monkton and
- Tarrant Launceston, and the lower Tarrant Vale represented by Tarrant Keyneston to the north east.
- Pimperne and Stourpaine are directly north of the town.
