- Landford is the most south eastern village Wiltshire, in the northern tip of the New Forest National Park, east of Redlynch.
- Landford parish extends to the Hampshire border, with Hale to the west, Bramshaw to the south, and Copythorne to the east.
- The hamlet of Plaitford is in the north east of the parish, but is administered as a combined parish with Melchet Park in Hampshire.
- The A36 takes road traffic through the north of the parish, between Alderbury to Southampton in the south east.
- North of the A36, the next Wiltshire parish is Whiteparish.
