Chevrolet introduced the Chevette in October 1975. It was first designed and built in the United States by Opel. It was also manufactured by General Motors subsidiaries in Argentina, Brazil and England and sold under the names Kadett, Chevette, Gemini and K-180.
The Chevette has since become a car for collectors and enthusiast. Chevettes can be found in car shows, racing on dirt track and ice, and drag racing.
