Kirstie Alley was first known for her performance as Lt. Saavik in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982). She was probably most known for her role as Rebecca Howe on the NBC sitcom Cheers.
Alley was involved in some controversy because she was a firm believer in Scientology. She was born January 12, 1951 in Wichita, Kansas, and died December 5, 2022 from colon cancer only recently diagnosed.
