The Nintendo was introduced in 2006 and is a videogame console requiring a separate device, usually a TV, to display the game being played. Some, but not all, of the games designed to be played on the Wii system require accessories to be used. This is normally made clear on the product description of the game.
The Wii system is Nintendo's equivalent to the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360.
