Self-harm describes a wide range of things that people do to themselves in a deliberate and usually hidden way, which are damaging. The majority of young people who self-harm report they are not trying to commit suicide, but are 'trying to cope' and show that 'something is wrong'*.
Sites in this category provide information about issues and sources of help, and offer advice to young people about the prevention of self-harm.
