Tiruvannamalai is a premier Shiva pilgrimage town in Tamil Nadu, South India. At the heart of the town is the Hill Arunachala; a sacred, spiritual power site. Tiruvannamalai is famous for Arunachaleswarar Temple, the Asta Lingams, many subsidiary Temples, Deepam Festival, 14 km Circumbulation of the Arunachala Hill and as the samadhi of many saints; Arunagirinathar, Virupaksha, Seshadri Swami, Ramana Maharshi and Yogi Ramsuratkumar. Tiruvannamalai is also the regional headquarters of Tiruvannamalai District.
