Huntingdon is a medium-sized commuter town with a population of approx. 25,000 people. The county town of Huntingdonshire before the boundary changes in 1973, Huntingdon has been home to a number of well known historical figures, including Samuel Pepys, Oliver Cromwell and, most recently, John Major (former Prime Minister).
