Mapperton is a small parish south east of  Beaminster, before  Hooke.
The B3163 road provides access to Mapperton from the north, and leads to  Corscombe, north east of Toller Whelme.
The parish is dominated by Mapperton estate, the ancestral home of the Earl of Sandwich, and this category includes websites for the
parish immediately south, North Poorton, and the area in the immediate vicinity of northern tributaries of the River Mangerton.
Melplash to the west is in the parish of  Netherbury.
North Poorton is immediately south, before South Poorton and Loscombe in  Powerstock parish.
