Melcombe Bingham is the postal town for the rural parish of Melcombe Horsey, in the north west
of  West Dorset, in the downs north of  Puddletown.
The parishes of Cheselbourne and Dewlish separate Melcombe Horsey from the A354 road to Blandford.
The hamlets of Ansty Cross and Higher Ansty over the eastern boundary are in  Hilton parish to the east,
which in turn is west of  Milton Abbas.
