- This category represents the Dorset town of Wareham on the west extremes of Poole Harbour
- through which the River Piddle flows, separating Northport and the South.
- The larger River Frome flows to the south of the town having a tidal confluence with the Piddle to the east.
- The Piddle flows from the combined parish of Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle, though the parish of
- Bere Regis extends to Wareham's west boundary from the north west.
- Wareham is served by the A351 through Sandford to Wool, between which a railway also runs.
- South, across the Frome, the A351 turns south east to be the major road on the Isle of Purbeck
- to Swanage, via Corfe Castle.
