This category represents the Dorset town of Wareham on the west extremes of Poole Harbour
through which the River Piddle flows, separating Northport and the South.
The larger River Frome flows to the south of the town having a tidal confluence with the Piddle to the east.
The Piddle flows from the combined parish of  Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle, though the parish of
Bere Regis extends to Wareham's west boundary from the north west.
Wareham is served by the A351 through  Sandford to  Wool, between which a railway also runs.
South, across the Frome, the A351 turns south east to be the major road on the Isle of Purbeck
to Swanage, via  Corfe Castle.
