Brading is a parish on East Wight, based around the ancient 'Kynges Towne' of Brading.
The town lies on the A3055, south from  Ryde to  Sandown.
Linear settlements of Yarbridge and Morton run south to the parish boundary.
West of these, the Roman settlement of Adgestone is included in the parish of Brading, which extends north west
through the Nunwell Estate to the combined parish of  Havenstreet and Ashey.
The parish of  Bembridge is to the east, across Brading Marshes and the River Yar flowing north east to  St Helens,
then  Nettlestone is to the north, east of Ryde.
