- Yarmouth is a town and port in the western part of the Isle of Wight, served by a ferry from Lymington.
- Yarmouth is named for its location at the mouth of the small western River Yar (there is also an Eastern Yar on the island).
- The estuary was crossed by is ferry until the building of road bridge in 1863, continuing the A3054.
