- the church is north of this and south of the railway line.
- The parish of Burcombe Without continues up the hill to the north to Great Wishford parish, and
- south of the village the parish rises up the hill to Bishopstone parish.
- The hamlet of Bulbridge downstream, south of the Nadder provides the nearest primary school, but is in Wilton parish.
