- Grimstead parish comprises the villages of East Grimstead and West Grimstead, between which flows the River Dun eastwards to West Dean.
- Traces of the Salisbury and Southampton Canal, can be seen along the south bank of the River Dun, from Alderbury immediately west.
- The parish extends south to Pepperbox Hill, featuring the Pepperbox folly in the parish of Whiteparish to the south.
- The parish of Clarendon Park is directly north west, represented by the combined parish of Pitton and Farley north,
- before Bentley Wood in the north of West Dean parish on the Hampshire border.
