- Semington is the parish, north east of Trowbridge, separated by Hilperton.
- The A350 takes road traffic via Great Hinton directly south, bridging Semington Brook, then
- a tunnel under the Kennet and Avon Canal, which forms the northern parish boundary,
- and passing west of Bowerhill in Melksham Without parish.
- In the south of Semington parish the A361 takes road traffic from Hilperton, eastwards
- through Seend to Devizes further east.
