This category lists websites for the area inland from Bridgewater Bay, corresponding to land at or near
sea level marshland frequently flooded in winter until its manual drainage at strategically positioned pumping stations.
Natural rivers are the Parrett with its mouth at  Bridgewater,
and the Brue with its mouth at Highbridge and  Burnham-on-Sea.
The Huntspill River is a man-made drain, constructed in 1940, with a pumping station taking water from the Brue
east of  Street and controlling levels according to the tide in the mouth of the Parrett, with a sluice west of  Huntspill.
