The division of Wales for local government is summarized in the parent category Local Councils.
This category is an alphabetical list for Town Councils throughout the country, without the need to know the Unitary Authority to which they belong. Town Council websites may also be listed at the appropriate locality.
Unlike England, councils for rural areas, have not been called Parishes in Wales since 1974, when the level below Unitary Authority was named as Community. Websites for Community Councils are not listed here, but may be found in the categories for individual Localities.
Depending on the emphasis of the site content, these may be marked in the regional tree as Government or Guides and Directories.
