Litchfield County is located in the northwest corner of Connecticut. It is bounded on the north by Massachusetts, on the west by New York, on the south by Fairfield and New Haven Counties and on the east by Hartford County.
The area of Litchfield County is 944.6 square miles and at the 2000 census, the population was 182,193.
