Groton is a town located in northwestern Middlesex County, Massachusetts. Located along the Nashua River northwest of Boston, it was founded in 1655 and named after a town in Suffolk, England.
It is home to two renowned college preparatory schools: The Groton School,
founded in 1884, and Lawrence Academy at Groton, founded in 1793.
