Category Description for Bible/Canons
Canon means an authoritative rule or list. The canon of the Bible refers to an authoritative list of books of the Bible.
This category is for sites about the canon and about how the various books of the Bible were chosen or, as some would prefer to phrase it, how they were recognized as authoritative and therefore came to be included in the Bible. Also included here are sites with lists of the books contained in various canons, as some branches of Christianity have differences in the books deemed canonical.
