J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series is intended to comprise seven books. Four have been published so far. They are:

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (known as Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone in the USA)
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The fifth book is due early in 2002 and will be called Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Opposing Views

Not everyone is a fan of the Harry Potter books. Those who actively oppose the books generally do so from a religious perspective. Objections tend to focus on the portrayal of witches and wizards as positive role models for children. Witches, especially, are sometimes associated with pagan religion.
