This category at the Open Directory Project is for listing websites of print literary magazines, or online literary magazines with a print edition. Online magazines (e-zines) that have printed literature as the subject may also be included in this category. E-zines with writing that exists only online, whether in the form of a webzine, available by email or by downloading in a format such as PDF, can be found in the Online Writing category.
Only submit magazines that have a print edition, or e-zine that have as the subject printed literature, in this category. The magazine should feature some form of literature.

Magazines that review literature or provide some form of literary criticism should be submitted to the Reviews and Criticism category.

Magazines that are primarily one genre might have a more suitable category under that genre; specifically, Poetry, Science Fiction, and Fantasy.

Magazines that exist only online should be submitted in the E-zine category.

Websites for academic journals should be submitted to the Journals category.

A "Zine" is a DIY (Do-It-Yourself) print publication, with a small circulation. The websites in this category are websites for a zine, where you may find excerpts, subscription and submission information. Some zine websites mirror the print edition on their website.
To submit your site here, it must be a web site about a print zine. If your zine is electronic only, it should be submitted somewhere in the Online Writing/E-zines category.

Generally, zines are put together by one person, or a few people, at a local printers or copiers, and are distributed to less than 2500 people. If your zine is more professional, it should be submitted at the Magazines and E-zines level.
