Harold George Bellanfanti Jr. was born March 1, 1927 in Harlem, New York City, USA, and died April 25, 2023. He was known as Harry Belafonte. He was famous for his Calypso singing and film appearances. He was politically active during the Civil Rights movement in the 1950s and '60s.
