Paul Reubens, aka Pee-wee Herman, was born as Paul Reubenfeld in Peekskill, New York, USA, on August 27, 1952, and died from cancer on July 30, 2023.

Reubens joined the Los Angeles comedy The Groundlings in the 1970s, where he created the Pee-wee Herman character, arguably his most well-known character. He used the character for a stage show, then in several movies, and for a Saturday morning children's show. He also was a character actor, credited as Paul Reubens in numerous films and TV shows.
