Thank you.

This category is for sites which show primarily images where

  • digital manipulation has been used to substantially alter the image (i.e. photo painting).
  • digital means/manipulations have been used to create abstract images based on real images.

The primary focus of your site has to be on Photography. It should be evident that you consider yourself to be a photographer. Collections of snapshots, or sites featuring images of poor technical quality will NOT be listed anywhere in Arts/Photography.

This category is for sites which show primarily images where

  • digital manipulation has been used to substantially alter the image (i.e. photo painting).
  • digital means/manipulations have been used to create abstract images based on real images.
It can be considered the ''digital counterpart'' of Arts/Photography/Photographers/Solo_Exhibitions/Abstract_and_Experimental.

This category is NOT:

  • for sites showing exhibits where the only difference compared to ''classic'' images (i.e. travel, portrait, nature) is that a digital camera has been used to take the photos, and software has only been used for retouching/minor manipulations. In other words, if the ''digital'' photographs look like ''classic'' photographs then the site should be submitted to an appropriate subcategory of Arts/Photography/Photographers/Solo_Exhibitions.
  • for sites showing primarily computer generated images from scratch, or where the images have been so heavily digitally manipulated that even if there was a photo at the beginning of the process it is not possible to recognize it in the resulting image. Such site should be submitted to Arts/Visual_Arts/Computer_Graphics.

If the identity of the photographer is secondary or of no importance, and the intent of your site is simply to show pictures of a particular topic, please submit your site to that topic''s category and not to Arts/Photography.

IMPORTANT:Despite what it says on the submission form, all sites showing the work of a single photographer should be titled by the photographer''s name, NOT the site name! When submitting your site, please title it with the photographer''s name formatted Last Name, First Name.

For general guidelines about submitting sites anywhere in Arts: Photography, please see the Arts: Photography guidelines.

If you are offering prints for sale online, please submit your site to an appropriate subcategory of Shopping/Visual_Arts/Photography/Exhibits. Such sites will NOT be listed in Arts/Photography.

Business/Arts_and_Entertainment/Photography/Photographers is for photographers whose web sites focus on photographic services they can provide to clients. These photographers are available for hire to create images for a client.

A minimum of 10 photographs related to this category should be shown on your site.

Thank you!
