Community Radio

Radio stations that are legal non-profit (non-commercial), public access and community oriented. Also includes organizations that support community radio. Can include full-power stations, low-power micro radio or webcasting.

Commercial radio stations should submit in the appropriate Regional category instead of here. Also non-legal stations should submit to Pirate Radio category instead of here.

This category is for radio stations or programs which offer a wide variety of music styles. Otherwise, all specific music styles/genres will be redirected to the appropriate subcategory.

Instead, it provides programming that is a service to the community and that is not available elsewhere. The structure of this category and its sub categories is roughly as follows. Local public radio stations and radio show web sites sit in the main directory, with international, national, or regional networks getting their own sub categories. As times goes on, should the number of local stations become unwieldy, a separate sub category should be created for them.

Sports radio is an ever evolving format in the radio industry. Play-by-play broadcasts found online allow listeners from all over the world to hear a local event. Talk shows and caller driven sports radio allow the average fan to voice their opinion about a specific sports topic or issue.

Please only submit sites that pertain to the Sports Radio format, be it a Station site, a site for a radio show, or a broadcasting portal that is a combination of both. For the most part, sites about specific hosts are better fit in Sports/Resources/News and Media/Sportscasters unless they provide general sports radio news or topics.

Talk Radio

This category is for websites relating to talk radio. These include, but are not necessarily limited to, shows, personalities, stations, production and technical sites.

Web sites for specific shows should be submitted to the appropriate Programs category. Programs related to a specific region should first be submitted to the appropriate Regional category.
