The mission of the Mozilla project is to preserve choice and innovation on the Internet. It comprises a community of developers and testers, producing open-source software, and advocating net standards. The project as a whole is led by the Mozilla Foundation and encompasses its subsidiaries, Mozilla Corporation and Mozilla Messaging, as well as the Mozilla communities world wide The Mozilla Foundation provides organizational, legal, and financial support for the Mozilla project, to ensure that the Mozilla project continues to exist beyond the participation of individual volunteers, to enable contributions of intellectual property and funds and to provide a vehicle for limiting legal exposure.

Applications based on the Mozilla (also know as Netscape) source tree or applications/extensions/addons that incorporate Mozilla source code. Or the Mozilla XUL language.
In able for a site to qualify for this section it must be one of the following:

1. Be based on the Mozilla (Netscape) source code. 2. Use the GRE or XRE or other Mozilla runtime. 3. Contain portions of the Mozilla source code. 4. Use the Mozilla source code in order to change a users browsers appearance or functions (eg. extension) 5. Use Mozilla''s XUL in the chrome directory.
