Web Applications

Web Applications are web sites that perform the same function as software that you might otherwise download and run locally. Having the advantage of executing on a web server, Web Applications don't consume space on your hard drive, don't crash or conflict with other applications, and best of all are accessible from anywhere.

If your site offers open source code, please indicate (in round brackets) the programming language(s) required to run the software.

Systems that provide a framework for third parties to build full web applications through use of the system's APIs, classes or framework code. Entries in this category may also provide actual web applications built on the framework that can be downloaded separately.

Frameworks aren''t actual web applications, so deserve a separate subcategory. Searching for frameworks in other categories returns language/system specific framework categories.
