Spam Filtering

A list of sites that offer products to help you reduce the amount of unwanted commercial e-mail (usually known as UCE or SPAM). This is done by passing your e-mail through a "filter" before you see it. The job of the filter is to recognize this kind of mail and either delete it, mark it in a different way or separate it from other e-mail. This category lists software that you would run in your own computer.

Please submit to this category products that will filter spam when the user does not have access to the server in order to use filters like procmail. If the purpose of your software is to apply a filter at the moment of arrival and this software must be installed in the POP3/IMAP server submit your site to: http://Computers/Software/Internet/Servers/Mail/AntiSpam .

It is important that the site includes instructions on how to use/install the software, if it does/does not work with common mail clients (including Outlook, Pegassus, Eudora, AOL, etc). Explanations of how the software works are always welcome. Please make sure that your site works with most browsers. I will probably visit your site using an old version of Netscape (4.7).
