Black Isle Studios is a division of Interplay, created to focus solely on RPG's and the RPG gamer. It is located about an hour south of Los Angeles in Irvine, California. They are responsible for Baldur's Gate, Fallout, Icewind Dale, and many other popular RPGs.

Black Isle Studios was dissolved by Interplay in December, 2003.
