Four Swords Adventures is a title based on the first official multiplayer Zelda game, Four Swords, which was included with the Game Boy Advance release of A Link to the Past. Four Swords Adventures uses the connection features of the GameCube and Game Boy Advance unlike any previous game. Both systems are required to play the game in multiplayer mode. The graphics of the game are based on those in A Link to the Past.

Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda, the first title in the Zelda series, for the NES in July 1987.

A GameCube promotional disc released in November 2003. The disk includes ports of Legend of Zelda, Zelda II, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask. A retrospective video about the series and a Wind Waker demo are also included.
The August 1993 Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Game Boy title was re-released in December 1998 for Game Boy Color under the title Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX.
Nintendo released The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past in April of 1992 for the Super Nintendo. It is considered to be one of the best games for that system, so it was no surprise when the game was re-released on the Game Boy Advance.

The third and final Zelda game produced for the Philips CD-i console. Although the game was licensed by Nintendo and uses the popular Legend of Zelda characters, Nintendo was not involved in the production of the game. The game, a Europe-only release, was published by Philis and developed by Viridis. The game centers on Princess Zelda as she explores the island of Tolemac in a quest to rescue Link from Gannon.
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link was released in December 1988 for the NES.
