Battlefield 1942 is a first person shooter (FPS) game in which players fight battles from the Second World War. The game was developed by Digital Illusions for PC and Mac, and released in 2002. Players can choose from a variety of soldier kits, and may drive or pilot many different vehicles, including tanks, planes and ships. Several game modes are available, including co-operative play with and against computer-controlled soldiers.
Please submit only sites that are related to the main game, not its expansion packs (which have their own subcategory). Clan sites should be submitted to the Clans and Guilds subcategory. Similarly, reviews and mod sites should be submitted to the appropriate subcategory. Submissions will be mercilessly edited for grammar, spelling, punctuation and accuracy.
The next game in the multi-platinum Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 2 is currently slated for release in June of 2005. The game takes place in the both modern-day Middle East and the far-east, featuring battles between technologically advanced vehicles.
