All submission descriptions must be free from self-aggrandizing hype. Any such language will be either immediately removed or your submission will be deleted.

No site is guaranteed placement in the Open Directory. Any site unrelated to Half-Life, or submitted to multiple inappropriate categories, using multiple URLs for multiple submissions, or consisting primarily of affiliate links to other sites will be deleted or permanently banned.

Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another''s privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable will not be included in the index.

Before you submit your site please take the time to read the category FAQ and review the guidelines below. Following these guidelines will speed the acceptance of your site and significantly reduce the chances of its rejection.

The editors reserve the right to reject your site, to modify its description, and to recategorize or delete it before or after its inclusion. Multiple and/or deceptive submissions, especially to inappropriate categories, will not be tolerated.

Guidelines for submitting sites:

• Do not type in capitals, nor capitalize all nouns. This is not German.
• Do not write hype or a sales pitch.
• Do not include a list of keywords or HTML tags.
• Do not include your products.
• The description should be a brief summary of the site''s content.
  • Do NOT include superlatives ("We''re the best, "The greatest website...", "We''re #1..., etc.).
  • The description should be in English, in coherent sentence form, and free from mistakes.
  • Do not use unnecessary capitalization, or include HTML tags.
  • Submit to only the ONE best category possible.

• Submit sites whose main focus is a game in the Heavy Metal Series. Anything else will be moved or deleted.
• Submit sites for a specific title to the appropriate category.
• Submit your site using your main url.
• Use your site''s actual title.
• Create a brief description, under 25 words, listing the current content of your site (not the future content)
• Do not use first person verbiage (we, our, us).
• Don''t bother using marketing verbiage. (We''re the best!, Most awesome site, Check it Out!) Marketing verbiage is removed.
• All sites are reviewed periodically.
