Dreamcast

The Dreamcast is Sega's final console. Within this category, links related to the console can be found.

Nintendo 64

Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo was introduced in 2006 and is a videogame console requiring a separate device, usually a TV, to display the game being played. Some, but not all, of the games designed to be played on the Wii system require accessories to be used. This is normally made clear on the product description of the game. The Wii system is Nintendo's equivalent to the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360.

Suggestions for inclusion in this category must be sites or pages dealing with the Wii system and its accessories or the games played on it.

Nintendo Wii U

The Nintendo Wii U is a video game console consisting of a game pad and a controller. The game play can be displayed on a TV screen and/or the gamepad's touchscreen display. The device supports high definition (HD) graphics and it is compatible with games previously produced for the Nintendo Wii.

Sites or pages suggested for inclusion should contain useful information dealing with the Nintendo Wii U and the games produced for it. Any suggested site should also conform with the general Kids and Teens guidelines.

PlayStation

The Sony PlayStation 1 or PS1 was introduced in late 1994 and was superseded by the PS2 which in turn was superseded by the PS3.

Suggestions for sites or pages dealing with the Sony PlayStation, or the games played on it, will be considered for inclusion.

PlayStation 2

The PlayStation 2 was released after the original PlayStation. It has the ability to play PlayStation games.

PlayStation 3

The Sony PlayStation 3 was introduced in 2006 as the successor to the PlayStation 2 and is a videogame console requiring a separate display device, such as a TV, to display the game being played. The PlayStation is a competitor to the Nintendo Wii and the Microsoft Xbox 360.

Suggestions for sites or pages dealing with PlayStation 3 system and the games designed for it will be considered.

PlayStation 4

The Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) is the successor to the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and, like the PS3, the gameplay is viewed on a separate TV or Monitor. It has much more computing power and caters for many accessories and controllers. As yet, the games for the PS4 are not compatible with those released for the PS3.

Suggestions for sites which deal with the PS4 and the games designed to be played on it, or have information on accessories and related devices, will be considered for inclusion. When suggesting a site the Kids and Teens guidelines should also be followed.

SNES

The SNES or Super Nintendo Entertainment System was introduced in 1990 and is no longer produced.

Suggestions for sites or pages dealing with the SNES or the games played on it will be considered for inclusion.

Xbox

The Microsoft Xbox was introduced in 2001 and has since been superseded by the Xbox 360. It was last produced in 2007 in North America.

Suggestions for sites or pages dealing with the Xbox or the games played on it will be considered for entry here.

Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 is videogame console introduced in 2005 as the successor to the Xbox. It requires a separate device, usually a TV, to display the game being played. It also has the facility to show films and play music from optical discs or from internet sources. It is produced by Microsoft and is regarded as a competitor of the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii.

Suggestions for sites or pages dealing with Xbox 360 or the games produced for it will be considered for entry in the directory. Sites for music or film videos playable on the Xbox 360 do not belong in this category.

Xbox One

Described as an Eighth Generation Console and produced by Microsoft as a rival to the Nintendo Wii U and the Sony PlayStation 4. It is the successor to the Xbox 360 but with more versatility. It requires a separate monitor or TV to display the video content.

Suggestions for sites dealing with the hardware or games in general played on it can be considered for entry. Individual games should be suggested for inclusion in the relevant sub category-subcategory. The general Kids and Teens guidelines should also be observed.
