This section details the numerous resources for homebuilt aircraft. Homebuilts are aircraft which are either fabricated in a shop and sent to the consumer in parts (a kit or kitplane) or those which are completely designed and built at home, either with plans or by the owner himself. Homebuilts, despite the name are rather nice aircraft to fly, and produce a significant amount of satisfaction to the builders and the people that are near them. A properly built homebuilt aircraft generally isn't much more risky to fly than your average Cessna or light airplane. Some homebuilts are even more reliable than their commercial counterparts.
If you have a site describing a plane that can be built from a kits then please submit it here.If the aircraft can be built from a plan plan only, please submit to the Plans Build .
Homebuilt aircraft are more properly described by the FAA as Experimental Amateur Built. This means that they may be owned and operated with little restriction in the Experimental Category with the requirement that the major portion be built by a party or parties not for compensation. They generally fall into the category of kit built airplanes and plans built airplanes although there is some overlap.

A Part can be engine or airframe mounted components that are add on items to the primary component and vital to its operation. For example a carburretor would be a part of the engine. A wheel and landing gear would part of the airframe. A stall warning device would be a part of the airframe and so on. An Accessory would be something like a wheel spat or new design of stall warning device. It is not vital to the safe/legal operation of the aircraft.

This area will list information and sites related only to aircraft that are currently available and can be built from plans without kit requirement.
