'One Percent' is a term coined after a gathering of the American Motorcycle Association's 'Gypsy Tour'. On July 4, 1947, 3000 riders descended on Hollister, California which was sponsoring a 'dirt hill climb'. When violence broke out the American Motorcycle Association issued a statement saying that 99% of riders were respectable, pleasure riders and the other one percent were troublemakers. Since that date many clubs and groups have referred to themselves as the 'one percent'. This category is devoted to sites related to one percent clubs.
The Outlaws Motorcycle Club, also called the American Outlaw Association was founded by John Davis in 1959 in Chicago,
Illinois. The club has about 34 chapters in the U.S. and Canada with about 900 members. The club also has chapters in
Australia. This category is dedicated to sites related to the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.
