Welcome Scouters and other submitters
This section is for sites of BSA Scout Troops.

Keep in mind that this is an edited directory. The Editors are all scouters who have volunteered in the ODP. They have developed guidelines for the placement and description of scouting sites. Please do them a good turn - by reading and following these guidelines.

Note
The format of the directory is to start with "Troop 111" the word "Scout" is omitted because this branch of the directory is restricted to Scout sites. The sites are divided by State.

The descriptions are edited to disclose the content of the site, the editor''s question is, "what is on the site" - does the site have a photo gallery, activity calendar, leader contacts, etc.
Mission statements, puffery, such as "Greatest Site in America!!! " ; "**Best group this side of the Missouri**" etc., will be edited out.

Here is what the editors are looking for in your submission:

Example of Title:
Troop 123 - Springfield, Illinois

Example of Description:
Scout group, site includes leader contacts, meeting times and locations, calendar of events, midi music, interactive forms, downloadable forms, and links

Please describe what type of information is presented.

Do Not use the description to present information.
For example, a statement "Our group meets Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the downtown scout hall on Pine Street"
will be edited out,
and the editor will substitute "meeting time and location".

This category is for sites of BSA troops located in California.

Please follow these Submission Tips:

Title: Troop and Number - City Name
Description: This describes the website and should note distinguishing features found on the site. One or two sentences at the most will be listed for each site. Complete sentences are imperative.

Example of Title: Troop 1234 - Los Angeles

Example of Description: Site includes leader contacts, meeting times and locations, calendar of events, midi music, interactive forms, downloadable .pdf, .html and .doc forms, and links.

Georgia

Indiana

This category is strictly a listing of Troop web pages. All general interest sites should be listed in Recreation: Scouting: Regional: United States: Boy Scouting:

Please submit only sites pertaining to specific troops which are located in Indiana. Sites containing information about scouting in general should be submitted to Recreation: Scouting.

Please be sure that the URL is correctly entered and that the Title takes the form of Troop ### - City, State

Virginia

Only web sites directly related to Boy Scout troops in Virginia should be submitted here. Sites with lists of troops and links to their web sites are also allowed. Troops located in other geographic regions should submit their sites to the appropriate location under their Boy Scouting hierarchy.
