the western boundary with the parish of  Walton.

The southern boundary of Appleton parish is south of Pewterspear, and junction 10 of the M56 is further south in  Stretton.
South of Appleton Reservoir, the western boundary is with the Warrington parish of Hatton
which is represented by the category for Stretton parish further the south.
Further east, Appleton Thorn is north of the M56, which was constructed over a World War II airfield.
Between Appleton Moss and part of the airfield south of the M56, there is part of
Appleton parish before the eastern UA boundary.
To the south is the  Antrobus area of Cheshire West and Chester.
To the east, junction 9 of the M56 with M6 is within the parish of High Legh in Cheshire East.
North of junction 9, the M6 forms the eastern boundary of Appleton parish.
The Warrington parish of Grappenhall and Thelwall, is to the north, and to the north east
is  Lymm, which includes the M6, heading north around the east of town via Woolston,
and south towards  Mere.
