Launcerston is the major town in north east Cornwall, forming the gateway from Devon via the A30, north of Dartmoor.
The River Tamar is the county boundary at  Lifton.
The A30 continues west, through the parishes of South Petherwin and Lewannick, represented by this category,
along with the rural parishes of Lawhitton and Lezant to the south on the west bank of the
River Tamar, north of  Stoke Climsland.
Much of the northern boundary of Launceston parish coincides with the River Kinsey from the rural parishes of
St Thomas the Apostle and St Stephens by Launceston, to the west, also represented by this category.
The parish of Werrington directly north of the River Ottery, and on the Tamar county boundary is represented
by the  Week St Mary category.
