Dawlish, originally a fishing village east of Teignmouth, includes within its parish boundary hamlets of Cockwood, Middlewood, Westwood, Holcombe, East Town, Shattern and Lithwell.  This category is for sites within this parish and includes Dawlish Warren, the sandspit projecting towards Exmouth, along the English Channel, separated by the estuary of River Exe.  Dawlish parish includes the west bank of the Exe estuary northwards to include Cockwood, to its boundary with Starcross.  Inland to the north west, the parish is separated from Kenton by Ashcombe and Mamhead.
To the west, Dawlish is separated from Chudleigh and Kingsteignton by the parish of Bishopsteignton.
