This category is for sites about the village of Sowton, which lies to the east of the M5 and west of  Exeter Airport. 
The surrounding parish includes the M5, and the built-up area on the west which merges into the west boundary of
of  the city of Exeter.  The A30 joins the M5 to the north west of the village, passing east-west across the parish. 
The north of the A30 has been developed since the expansion of the airport.
The East Devon parish of   Broad Clyst is to the north,  Clyst Honiton to the east boundary, and Clyst St Mary to the south.
