Affpuddle is a small village at the northern edge of the former Purbeck district, 9 miles east of Dorchester,
and 3 miles from the South Western Main Line railway station at  Moreton.
Tollpuddle is immediately north west.
Since 2001, Affpuddle has been administered as a parish combined with the village Turners Puddle,
a mile south west of  Bere Regis on the north bank of the River Piddle.

south of the River Piddle, including Briantspuddle, Pallington and Throop.
The A35 road runs along the north of the parish, between Bere Regis in the north east, to  Puddletown in the west.
The B3390 passes the east of Affpuddle from the A35 south to Moreton.
