Clinical Commissioning Groups
Every area of England has a Clinical Commissioning Group (
CCG
) to plan, buy and monitor healthcare resources, often
spanning more than one ceremonial county.
Besides the NHS hospitals, CCG include experienced healthcare professionals; General Practitioners, nurses,
and other local stakeholders, to agree the needs of the local area and ensure that they are provided.
Following the Health and Social Care Act 2012, CCG replaced Primary Care Trusts as devolved responsibility for local healthcare needs.
This category is intended only for
Clinical Commissioning Groups
which have generally replaced Primary Care Trusts.
NHS Trusts, including those with Foundation status have a separate category.
Other websites which offer resources to professionals involved in primary healthcare should be suggested,
following guidelines in
UK: Health: Resources: For Professionals
, whereas those manufacturing and
offering products and services should be suggested, following guidelines for
UK: Healthcare
.
