The parish of Peterstow is separated from the River Wye and  Ross-on-Wye, Bridstow to the east.

The parish of Marstow is to the south on the west bank of the Wye, then  Llangarron to the west.
Hentland parish is the north west of Peterstow, and Sellack is to the north east, where the Wye forms its northern boundary,
as it flows north west through Foy and loops south, between Bridstow and  Brampton Abbotts.
