Harrogate is a spa town in the western portion of North Yorkshire. It is a mostly Victorian town, and is one of the wealthiest towns in Yorkshire, being part of the York-Leeds-Harrogate triangle. It is run by Harrogate Borough Council, which as part of North Yorkshire County Council is in charge of not just the town itself but also the nearby towns of Ripon, Boroughbridge and Knaresborough.
