Wraxall is a village rising from the north bank of the River Yeo on the B3130 road
north east of  Nailsea, south of the Yeo.
North of Wraxall village, the B3128 takes road traffic west to join the B3130 in
Tickenham parish, before the M5 motorway at  Clevedon.
To the east on the B3128 is the settlement of Failand before  Long Ashton.
Failand is separated from Wraxall by Tyntesfield Park, and is administered as
the North Somerset combined parish of Wraxall and Failand.
Note: Besides Somerset, the name Wraxall is shared with parishes in Dorset and Wiltshire,
having derived from the Saxon: "nook of land frequented by the buzzard or other bird of prey".[ https://bafhs.org.uk/wraxall/?v=79cba1185463 ]
