Henley-in-Arden is a small market town with a population of about 4000. It is located midway between Solihull and Stratford-upon-Avon and lies on the borders of West Midlands and Warwickshire. It is well served by a good selection of shops, five pubs and ten or so restaurants/wine bars. The town is a popular spot for the local visitors on a Sunday who arrive in large numbers during the summer months to enjoy a stroll along the High Street and purchase a "Henley Ice cream" from the locally well known Ice Cream Parlour. Market day is on a Wednesday and from time to time there are livestock markets including the infamous Christmas Turkey Market in December. The town has a railway station on a local line which runs between Startford-upon Avon and Birmingham and is within 10 minutes of the M40 motorway.
