The bridge carries road traffic south on the A363 to  Trowbridge, having wound through the town centre from  Bathford.
The B3107 road leads east to  Holt, and before this, intersection by
the B3105 leads across the Avon to  Staverton.
On the north bank, the B3108 road leads west through  Winsley before a bridge over
the Avon, then under the railway at  Limpley Stoke.
South of the Avon, the parish of  Westwood directly west, represents Avoncliff.
